Mykelle & Volleyball

Paul and I went to SLC last Saturday for Mykelle's Sophomore day. It was fun to watch her play. Jadon was supposed to sing the National Anthem, but when we got there, the guy in charge said that he didn't find out until Saturday morning and he had already booked a guy. I was thinking, "well we came all the way from St. George. This guy could drive across town again more easily." However, it was too late, so Jadon didn't get to sing. The good news is that Mykelle got to play. After the game, the girls signed autographs in the all, then we all went to dinner and came home.

Mykelle & Volleyball

Mykelle has had tournaments the last two weekends. The weekend before in SLC and last weekend in Vegas. I fed the team on Thursday on their way down to the tournament. It was a lot of fun! Jadon even sang for them. They fell in love with him!

The team has been doing pretty well. Mykelle hasn't been playing a ton, but that is another story.

What she has been doing is becoming a good friend to the other setter who is from Brazil and has been lonely. Mykelle has talked to her a lot and she has asked a lot about the church. It's becoming a great missionary experience for her.

Mykelle was off to college the first of August. She came home for one weekend, but then was in the full swing of things. They had their first tournament this last weekend in Idaho. They won all their games, so that is a good sign for the year.

She's had a sore back she has been nursing, but still managed to play and did a great job from what feedback I can get.

She has a tournament in SLC this weekend that we will be going to. The next weekend she is in Vegas, so we will go to that, as well. I will feed the team on their way through. I"m looking forward to that!

School has started for her, too. She is enjoying her roommates--two that she played ball with here in St. George and the other was her teammate from last year. I think it's going to be a great year!

Mykelle

Mykelle is still working for Paul. She is also helping Tiffany with swimming lessons that will start again next week. She talked in church yesterday (Father's Day) and did a great job!! She will be playing volleyball in the summer games this weekend with Misi's cousins.
