Football Haircuts

Football is just one of those things that increase the testosterone flow around here. Kallan has been very excited to start his high school football career. They have a great group of boys who have big hearts, a good work ethic, and a competitive drive. This group of boys decided they would do official football haircuts early in the summer during their training time. Here is a picture of Kallan getting his hair cut. Some others sat down and had theirs done, others did theirs earlier. Just wouldn't be football with out a good buzz!

Changing Seasons-- Ball Seasons

Basketball season is now over and we are on to baseball. Kameron and Kallan played basketball and had great seasons. Britton is the only one playing baseball and tryouts were yesterday for Major League, so we should know today or tomorrow if he made it. We sure love watching the kids play ball!

A Discussion in White Teeth

The other day Mykelle, Whitnee, and I picked up Kallan from school. We were waiting for Amanda to come out and somehow there began a discussion about teeth whitening. Kallan made some comment about the Chinese not having white teeth, then he said, "what are they smoking over there? Cabbage?"

I thought we were going to die laughing. Really! Cabbage?? Where in the world did that come from? So now we all say, "What're you smoking, cabbage?"

Now you can all share the phrase with us.

Football Season Begins

Kallan, Britton, and Kameron all had their first games on Saturday. It was fun to watch them play. It was a very hot day out, but they all did great! I think Kallan and Britton's teams lost in close games. Kameron's team won, but he didn't get to play very much.

Kallan

Kallan just finished up an undefeated season of baseball. His team played in a double header tournament on Tuesday to finish up with a perfect record. He has been playing shortstop and has also played in the field some. He did a great job this year.

Kallan is also working in the squash patch with Grandma Vicki. He loves earning extra money. He is also trying to get into the JAG golf program. He loves golf now since he has been playing Tiger Woods on the ninetendo.

Kallan got braces on a week or so ago. It was a rough first few days since his mouth hurt and he couldn't eat anything. He's doing much better now, and excited for his teeth to look beautiful! ;o)

One sweet thing about Kallan-- he came home from church Sunday and began trying to play some hymns. He is trying to make sure that he can play a hymn or two in case his brothers don't show up to Priesthood. I guess Jadon has been asked to play the piano in Priesthood and Wesley is his backup. Sometimes they forget to get a sub if they aren't there. Kallan took it upon himself to be able to back them up if needed. What a great kid!!
